How to edit insights within Collections
Instantly edit and apply changes to single insights
What is it?
In Collections, you can now edit the data parameters for each insight and instantly visualize the changes.
This functionality allows you to modify the fields applicable for the respective insight which can include elements like: Country, Product Group, Channels, Price and Product Features – the same fields that are available in the Filter Tray of the source pages.
Why do you need it?
Your analysis requirements may evolve, and insights that were added to Collections previously may no longer align with your current needs. Instead of recreating and re-adding the insight, you can now edit and apply these changes directly to the existing insight.
This feature also allows you to replicate an analysis in an existing format by combining the Copy insight and Edit functionalities to duplicate and adjust the parameters as needed.
How can you use it?
To edit an insight within Collections, click the ‘Edit’ button located at the bottom right of the insight. This will open a Configuration tray on the right side, displaying the editable fields. You can then apply your desired filters to the respective fields.
Once you've made your changes, click the ‘Apply’ button, and the insight will refresh, displaying the updated view based on your configurations.
Things to take note:
- Editing is currently available for insights added from gfknewron Market
- When making changes to country and/ or product group, any existing feature configurations will be automatically reset and need to be re-reselected if required for the new selection of country and/ or product group(s)
- When multiple product groups are selected, only features that are common will be available for configuration
- With insights added from gfknewron Market, the same compliance rules will apply when filtering the data into more granular slices. There may be instances where the data will not load due to compliance restrictions, and modifying or removing certain filters are required to proceed
